Been a long, long time.

So. It's been quite a while since I last updated this thing. I feel I have somehow wronged someone in doing so. I don't know who, as I am fairly certain that no one reads this, haha. Oh well.

So.
Where to begin.
Well, my summer was...interesting, to say the least. I went, as per usual, to almost every Renaissance faire in the area(we aren't doing KRF, as well as a few others, this season. Maybe next year.), which made my life bearable. I had wonderful weekends filled with insanity and tomfoolery. I traveled farther than I ever have for faires. I made new friends, and got even closer with those I already had. It was a wonderful summer. Of course, there were those I wish I had seen more of, but I understand that certain faires were just not worth the time, or were just jerkfaces who for some odd reason didn't want certain people back. *sigh* Oh well. I'll see them again at some point. (:
On the other hand, many of my weekdays were boring, bland, and downright depressing. Most of that was thanks to all the so-called friends who were so excited about summer vacation finally getting here that they forgot I existed. And guess what? It's halfway through September and I /still/ have yet to hear from some of them. I am working on moving on.

Now for school.
It sucks.
Alot.
My guidance counselor is an asshole, moreso than others I have had in previous years, and I am appalled at the way the administration was handling the schedule issue/changing situation. They were making you leave, even if you had a pass from your teacher and/or were dropping that period's class. And, of course, the administration couldn't even talk to us politely about it either. They were all attitude and raised voices. I wanted so desperately to stab one of them.
So far, this year has been pretty horrible. Thank the gods its my last one in this place. They're absolutely destroying it...messing with advisory, giving lab-oriented classes only one lab period per week, and re-arranging all the teachers. At least I will probably get to hang out with one of my favorite teachers and do pretty much nothing but feed fish & clean tanks. And if that doesn't quite work out, then I can always go to the art teachers.

Oh, I almost forgot to talk about the Oyster Festival!
How could I have forgotten that? What an amazing weekend!
We brought pirates to the Norwalk Oyster Festival this year. What an experience. For everyone. Haha, I don't think anyone really knew what to expect from the opposite party that weekend. But it turned out great. And I made more friends, adding to my faire family, as well as my general pool of friends. They included the crew over at Castle Carlisle, Frank, the groundskeeper of Vet's Park, and Terri, the coordinator of Arcadia Bird Sanctuary of New Jersey. I have to say, that was probably one of my favorite events ever...what with the learning to barter the pirate way, hanging out with dear friends, making new friends, interacting with some amazing parrots, and, most of all, getting to use a Blunderbuss. Twice. :D

Well, internets, it was nice to talk to you again. I think I may do this alot more often. But for now, I have to hit the hay. I have to get up early. Ew. Damn school. Talk to you again soon!
